Terms of service
Last updated 27 September 2026
These are the terms for using overload.design. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Overload is
A game and learning tool. The simulation is a model: it is designed to teach the shape of real systems, and it is not a capacity plan, a cost estimate, or advice about any real infrastructure.
Your account
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself.
- Your handle must not impersonate someone else or be offensive. We may rename or remove a handle that is.
- Play by hand. Scripts that record runs, scrape the leaderboard, or hammer the API are not allowed and may be blocked.
- You must be 16 or older.
Your builds and shared runs
The designs you make are yours. By recording a run you let us show its score on the leaderboard beside your handle, and by sharing a run's link you let anyone with the link see that page. Deleting your account removes both.
Price
Right now everything is free. Foundations and the Easy tier of Real World will stay free. Medium and Hard levels will need a Pro plan when it launches; anything you passed before then stays yours. Pro will be priced by region, will not renew without your explicit consent, and can be cancelled in one click. A first Pro purchase can be refunded within 7 days on request. These terms will be updated before anyone is charged.
Availability and liability
Overload is provided as it is, in beta. We aim to keep it up and to keep your progress, and we make no guarantee of either. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions: hello@overload.design.
